Moving on to D… 🙂

Here’s another name post.  My favorite names that start with the letter D.  Maybe you’ll find some you like — some you might use in a story, some you might pass on to your child… Who knows?

GIRL
Dacey — the southerner
Danika — the morning star
Dejah/Daja — before
Darcy — dark (an old Norman family name)
Drea — courageous & strong
Delaney — the dark challenger
Devyn — a poet
Darryn/Deryn — great/precious present
Dimitriana — meaning unknown

Okay, it’s official: While I’ve really liked the name “Dacey” for quite some time, I had never actually looked up the meaning.  Now that I know what it means… I absolutely love it!!  😉

D’Andre — strong, courageous, manly
Dominic — belonging to the Lord
Drew — courageous
D’Artagnan — leader
Darren — great
Derrick/Darroch — a ruler of the people;
one who is strong

Damion — tame, domesticated

Dimitri — earth-lover
Dietrich — a ruler of the people

Desmond — the world

If you enjoyed this post, please leave a comment and let me know!  Or share some of your favorite “D-names” with me; I’m always interested in hearing what names other people like! 🙂

  4. I really like David, which means beloved; it’s my dad’s name and my brother’s middle name, so it’s always been kind of special. 🙂
