J is one of my favorite letters… Don’t ask me why, but there are so many J-names that I just love! Not exactly a good thing considering that my granny has all but forbidden me and my siblings to give our children J-names. You have to understand that she already has a quite a few nieces, nephews, and grandkids with J-names. So many times, she would call to one of them and have to go through several J-names before coming up with the correct one. 😛
Anyway, these are my favorites:
GIRL
Julia/Julianna — youthful; daughter
of the sky
Jaimee — she who supplants
Jerika — one who is strong; talented ruler
Jordyn — of the down-flowing river
Jessalyn — the Lord sees all
Jada/Jayden — resembling the jade stone
Jocelyn — one who is cheerful, happy
Jessamyn — resembling the jasmine flower
Jacey — resembling the hyacinth
Jacquelynn — she who supplants
Javanna — woman from Greece
