“A friend posted recently about the young thug he observed on the subway one morning. The teen wouldn’t give up his seat so an elderly lady could sit down. He was rude to those around him. And then he knocked a woman out of the way because she wasn’t fast enough at exiting the train.

My friend was floored by the young man’s actions, but unfortunately, things like that happen all the time—and often the blame goes back to the home environment, to a lack of parenting.

I started thinking about what could have caused that teen to become so rude and uncaring—and about what parents could do to avoid that scenario with their children. So here are a dozen ways to raise a thug…..”
