Cinematic Saturdays – The Blind Side

Cinematic Saturdays - BlindSide

This post is scheduled for Saturday morning, Nov. 28th.  This evening, my team — the Oklahoma Sooners — will be playing their second biggest rival — the Oklahoma State Cowboys.  So, not only is this the Bedlam game. . . if/when “my boys” win the game, they will be the Big 12 Champions.  And they’re also currently sitting at #3 in the playoff rankings.  So yeah… this weekend is a big deal and I’ve got football on the brain. 😉

That being the case, here’s this week’s featured movie:

The Blind Side

^^This is me when it comes to Texas.  Hehehe! 😛

The Blind Side really is one of my favorite football movies.  And you know I can’t get enough of football this time of the year… 😉

It’s sweet, it’s fun, and… it’s powerful.

This is one of my favorite quotes from this movie. 🙂
Even though the one I personally love to use is Leigh Anne Tuohy’s quote: “Say to yourself, ‘Is this me?'”

~ Starring ~

Sandra Bullock as Leigh Anne Tuohy
Tim McGraw as Sean
Quinton Aaron as Michael Oher
Ray McKinnon as Coach Cotton
Kathy Bates as Miss Sue
Kim Dickens as Mrs. Boswell

…and many others who I won’t take the time to name.  Here’s a list of the Full Cast & Crew.

~ Storyline ~

Michael Oher, a homeless black teen, has drifted in and out of the school system for years. Then Leigh Anne Tuohy and her husband, Sean, take him in. The Tuohys eventually become Michael’s legal guardians, transforming both his life and theirs. Michael’s tremendous size and protective instincts make him a formidable force on the gridiron, and with help from his new family and devoted tutor, he realizes his potential as a student and football player.
