I have Summer of Dreams on my list of books to read already. I actually haven’t marked the next one in the series to read yet, since this one sounded better. So I was going to read this one then decide… Pretty cover for it, tho! I love seeing clothes from all different time periods and I think the dress she’s wearing is beautiful! 😀 I definitely want to check out more of your reviews – the internet is loading pages s l o w l y. 😛

Yeah… I don’t know if that’s a series that I’ll end up finishing or not… I’m just not too sure about it yet. It is a lovely cover- I totally agree with you there. 😉

So, I’ve now tried Summer of Dreams as has my sib who was also reading it, and we both didn’t care for it – and didn’t finish it. It started out pretty good, but then that the beautiful hummingbirds, which should be free to flit about, had been captured just was really sad and it seemed way too selfish a mindset about that. We gave it a while longer without it getting better. It left a not-good feeling and we realized we didn’t need to read it and thankfully have a lot of other books to read. 🙂

Yes, I agree that one was quite disappointing.
If it had been longer, I may not have finished it either. As it is, I still haven’t decided if I’ll read the next book or not… It’ll probably depend on what else I have to read. 😉
