Throwback to November 2015

I recently came across something the other day… something that I wrote last November.

It was sort of a challenge from some friends of mine.  It’s not my usual poetry style, but I gave it a shot anyway.  I didn’t share it last year, but I thought I’d go ahead and share it now. 😉

I titled this: Rambling

Rambling

I don’t know what I could say
About my life or about my day
That y’all would really care to hear
Guess I’ll just bore you all to tears
So I’ll apologize in advance
If this poem makes you look askance
This really is my best effort
Even if it makes your brain hurt
Right now I’m helping a boy with school
He’s almost finished– ain’t that cool?!
But when he’s done, there’s more work for me
I need to clean the fridge and do laundry
And this has got me all ecstatic
(Can you tell that I’m a bit sarcastic?)
All through the weekend I’ll be busy too
But there is one fun thing I get to do
I’ll get to enjoy my favorite thing about fall:
The Oklahoma Sooners playing football!

~Me

Anyhoo– I hope y’all at least got a bit of a giggle out of that. 😉

I love this, Aerykah 🙂 Really, it’s nice to see that I’m not the only one that has trouble rhyming.
