~ KATHY’S QUESTIONS ~

1.) Do you enjoy watching football? If yes, who is your favorite team?
— Absolutely! The Oklahoma Sooners!! Though I have also enjoyed watching our local high school teams. 🙂

2.) Do you like to read poetry?
— When I’m in the right mood for it, yes.

3.) Do you have a favorite website? If yes, what is it?
— Probably Goodreads. 😉

4.) Do you enjoy podcasts? What are your faves?
— I don’t really ever listen to podcasts… Though my bro-in-law did tell me about one called “Lore” that I started listening to just this week. So far, I’m really liking it!

5.) What is one of your most embarrassing moments?
— I’ll never tell! haha! 😛

6.) Do you enjoy walks outside in the winter?
— Um… I enjoy taking walks so that I can photograph nature, but I don’t exactly enjoy walking outside in the winter. It’s cold, y’all… I don’t like cold. 😐

7.) Was there a moment in your life when something hilarious happened and you laughed so hard your side or stomach hurt? Tell us what happened.
— So many times!! I mean… I have 5 brothers– and lots of little kids around all the time! Stomach-hurting-laughter was a normal part of my life growing up & it still happens quite often. 😀
I must say, though, that a lot of that stomach-hurting-laughter was triggered by a lack of sleep… and my older brother having the ability to make me laugh with just a look. 😛

8.) Do you enjoy spending time with children?
— Oh, yes! 🙂 I grew up spending loads of time around children. I’ve always loved kids and enjoyed being around them. 🙂

9.) Do you enjoy visiting art galleries?
— Actually… I don’t think I’ve ever visited an art gallery. 😐 Depending on the type of art… I may or may not enjoy it.

10.) What is your favorite meal?
— Gosh, I don’t know… Maybe a nice, tender brisket with a side of green beans & mashed potatoes. That sounds sooo good right now!

11.) What is your favorite comfort food?
— Chips. The cheesy kind. Like sour cream & cheddar or Cheetos.

~ MANDIE’S QUESTIONS ~

1.) If you could have any name in the world what would it be?
— I feel like I’ve answered this question once before… Yep! Check out question #5 on this post! I think I finally settled on the possibility of Michal or Emma.

2.) What is your favorite holiday and why?
— Independence Day (the 4th of July). Why? Um… FIREWORKS!! 😀 Really, though, I do love what this holiday is all about– it’s about America gaining independence, in case you didn’t know. And there are fireworks! But I also like that it’s a summer holiday– warm weather, sunshine, outdoors, flip-flops, grilling, watermelon, etc. *sigh* And that it’s not a holiday that makes people feel obligated to buy everyone they know a card and/or a gift (even if it’s a pointless gift you know they won’t like). And I like the fireworks. And the decorations– who doesn’t like red, white, & blue? And yeah… did I mention the fireworks? 😀 😉

3.) If you could meet a character from any fiction book, who would it be and why?
— You know… I really loved Kathy’s answer for this! Eowyn is such an amazing, yet under-appreciated, character. At least, I think she is. But I would like to take her answer one step further and include Eowyn’s brother Eomer. He’s my favorite from those movies– another under-appreciated character. I think I’d really like to meet them both! 🙂

4.) If your pet (or pets) could talk for a day, what questions would you ask them?
— And I would ask my family’s dog, Major (click here to meet Major) what makes him choose to chase certain vehicles and completely ignore others. Though we’ve tried to break him of this, he won’t stop. And he’s quite selective of which vehicles to bother with– even growling quite ferociously at some!

5.) What is one thing that always makes you smile?
— Laughing babies! 😀 Doesn’t that make everybody smile? It should! 🙂

6.) Which of the seven dwarfs are you most like? (Extra points if you name all seven without cheating!)
— Ehm….. I have no idea. And I’m quite sure I couldn’t name them all either. 😐

7.) What is your favorite day of the week?
— I don’t really have a favorite day of the week…

8.) What is one food you strongly dislike?
— Since I’m a pretty (*ahem* very) picky eater….. I once tried calamari because my mom said it was super good and I didn’t actually know what it was (for those who don’t know, calamari is squid). I nearly threw up in my plate in the middle of the restaurant. *gag* NEVER. AGAIN!! I shudder even now just thinking about it…

9.) What is your favorite song?
— It Is Well — written by Horatio Spafford.

10.) What is your favorite board game?
— CLUE. Yep, I love playing that game!! 🙂

11.) What is your favorite number and why?
— Seven. It’s the number of God. The number of perfection and completion… And it’s the number of the day on which I was born. 😉
