“I’m about out of strength!”

Okay, brace yourselves… y’all are in for a rather long post today.

It hurts!

It’s heavy!

I’m about out of strength!

It’s too hard!

I can’t do it!

It’s gotta be the end… I don’t have any more…

This scene from Facing the Giants has been on my mind and heart a lot lately.  It shows quite well how life so often is– you don’t entirely understand what’s going on, but you know that you must keep going.

Even when you’re hurting.  Even when your burdens are heavy.  Even when you feel like your strength is gone.  When you know that it’s too hard for you to bear.  When you know that you can’ t do it– not alone.  When you’re praying that this trial will please be over soon because you just don’t think you have any more strength, any more endurance, any more… anything to give.

Can you relate?

BUT!

See… there’s something that we all too often forget:

We are not alone…

He knows exactly what we’re going through…

And no matter what happens, He is our God through all of it.  He is with us.  He is right there wanting to help us get through whatever we’re dealing with in our lives.

2Cor.12_a

His grace is enough for anything and everything.  His strength is made known in ways it couldn’t otherwise be seen when we are at our weakest points.

So…..

…when you’re on your knees and answers seem so far away
You’re not alone, stop holding on and just be held

 …and know this:

(And I know that video isn’t the best quality, but I think they sing so beautifully and I just really liked the church atmosphere and hearing the folks praising God.)

No matter what happens in this life, if you are a child of God, you know how your story will end.  And as Paul said in Romans 8:18– I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

I know this post was really long and full of pictures and videos, but I just wanted to share some things that have touched my heart here lately and that have lifted my spirit.  I hope they bless you as much as they have me!
