Oops! I missed last Friday… Sorry about that, y’all. I thought I had scheduled posts
through the end of the month, but I guess I didn’t.
Anyway… moving on!
“Can I just skip the letter F?” That’s what I found myself thinking as I worked on this post. I really don’t like very many names that start with “F”. I don’t know why, that’s just how it is. So I didn’t come up with very many “F-names” that I like, but here they are none the less.
GIRL
Faith — trusting in God
BOY
Fletcher — arrow maker
Frederick/Friedrich — peaceful ruler
Fitz — son
And since that’s only 4 names… Here are some “G-names” too.
GIRL
Gabriella — God is my strength
Grace — graceful
Gracelyn — (meaning unsure) graceful lake
Genevieve — a woman of the people
Greta — a pearl
Georgette — a girl from the farm
BOY
Gabriel — God is my strength
Garrett — powerful with the spear
Grayson — son of the gray-haired man
Graham — from the gravelly place or homestead
Gage — a pledge
Gavin — little hawk
If you enjoyed this post, please leave a comment and let me know! Or share some of your favorite “F- and G-names” with me; I’m always interested in hearing what names other people like! 🙂
See my previous posts HERE. And be sure to come back for another post next Friday! 🙂
For girl F names, I like
Felicia: Happy
Florence: Blooming; flourishing
and boys I like Fredrick.
I guess I haven’t really looked at F and G names much, but here are a few.
Girl:
Grace
Boy:
Gareth: Gentle; modest; brave
By the way, Grace is obvious and Lynn means beautiful, so maybe Gracelyn means graceful and beautiful?

Thanks for sharing, Ysa! 🙂
Hm… Where did you find that? The name book I was using said Lynn means “lake”. I just looked it up somewhere else, though, & found this meaning: “lake or waterfall”.

My momma’s name is Monica Lynn – she’s always told us (when we ask what our names all mean) that Lynn means beautiful (so her name means “beautiful adviser”) – also, (one of) my little sisters is named Brianna Joylinn – “Arise with beautiful rejoicing” 🙂

Interesting… My mom’s middle name is Lynn, too. I never asked her what it meant, I just looked it up for myself. Never did find that meaning, though. *shrug* Who knows! Some names have several different meanings.

Both of my brother’s have a name on your list! Garett (Yes with only one “r”) and Gavin. If we have another boy, his name is going to be Garrison Gage! So that makes three on your list!
